Skegness Beach
Welcome to Skegness beach. Skegness’ award winning beach is well known for it’s miles of clean sands (perfect for building sandcastles!) and excellent water quality. With some of Skegness’ biggest attractions within a few hundred meters it’s the perfect place to make camp for a family day out. Skegness beach has been the receiver of many prestigious awards in cleanliness, such as the Blue Flag Award, for several years running. The beach has also won the Quality Coast Award and a Recommendation from the Marine Conservation Society. These awards are won through daily cleaning by the Council a ban on dogs between March and September and more than a handful of pride-driven hard work, the results of which are enjoyed by thousands of families throughout the year.
Facilities near Skegness Beach
There is plenty of convenient parking available for Skegness Beach. You can park your car within a stone’s throw of the beach itself and be only a couple of minutes walk from cafes, takeaways, and public toilets. The toilets also offer diabled faclities and changing facilities, couple this with easy access to the beach itself and Skegness beach proves itself once again as a fantastic place for every member of the family. Skegness Pleasure Beach is just across the road and it’s just a short walk from there to reach Skegness Pier. The pier complex itself is a hive of family friendly activity such as LazerQuest and Ten Pin Bowling and make a perfect break from the midday sun.
If you’re feeling energetic you can take advantage of the cycle route that runs along the seafront, or if you’d rather let someone else do the hard work then you can enjoy a horse and cart ride along the seafront to take in the sights and sounds of the bustling seaside town. You can also enjoy donkey rides along the beach, which is always a hit with the kids, and it’s hugely rewarding as a parent or a grandparent to see the little ones enjoying themselves with some traditional entertainment.
Even if the weather lets you down there is plenty to enjoy at Skegness, as mentioned there is Skegness Pier with entertainment for the whole family as well as Panda’s Palace soft play centre, and what seaside visit would be complete without a trip to the arcades?
